It won't be long now!

Above are the last two panels, laid out and ready for seaming. I may need to move one or two but won't really know until I get there! This layout will be very close, if not exact.

Here are the first 5 all together. Maybe a nip & tuck, here & there. I'm really very happy with it.

Thanks for helping Tiffany!

Angel4ever is another great Raveler who answered a plea for a fill-in square when a member couldn't complete their's. It's bright and fun! Thanks again Tiffany. Nice job~

Two this week, three left!

Purple! Purple! Purple! :) Thank you so much Amber~ And congrats on your etsy shop!
(And thank you so much for filling in last minute for a member who couldn't complete her square. xo)

This color is not true because I lightened it up a bit to show the stitching detail. I would love to have this pattern. This ROCKS Morigaine!

Two more really special people

When I cried out for someone to make a square for a member who couldn't finish hers, these two ladies stepped up to the plate and came through like real champs. IceCreamCake finished hers with a great little flower! It's beautiful Becca and thanks!

Christie has already contributed one great square but when she offered to make a second she was anxious to do one of her own design. And on the rush even! I love it Gumbie315! Thank you so much!

Ladies (and gents), we have 5 squares left to arrive!

My ace in the hole

Gramma offered to quick knit up a square and send it as a back up which I am goint to be able to use after all. Thanks so much Lulu!

Excuse my messy bed!

The first 4 panels are woven together with exception to the last two squares which I expect to get to tonight along with adding the 5th panel. I think it's coming along nicely.......

Ying Yang, I love Ying Yang!

I bow to Candimt who sent this great Ying Yang square. Isn't it great? Thank so much Candi. I adore this. I'm sure Lori will too!

Big thanks to Heather and Stephanie

We were not getting much representation in the striped category. I was thrilled to see this one from Heathervance. I had to pin it down to tame it a bit but it will be just fine. The size is perfect!

Bugaboo1 was so understanding when her square didn't arrive and she hustled to get another one out to me. It is so delicate looking. It will be a nice addition to what we've already received!

Is it close to perfect?

Chart

Here's the chart for the first 4 rows. If anyone sees a mistake, please give me a shout~

4th row done, setting up for the fifth!

Looks like there will be some challenges sewing these together side by side but I've been working out for it! (This is taken long-ways so you have to turn your head 90 degrees to the right - ha!)
;)
Mas Paz...........................

Lucky Number Seven

I have 7 squares to post today.....................

This vibrant square was sent by Flowox. It's so lively. Nice choice Susan!

Tracey aka blt28 sent this great Artyarns (love them) super merino with 2 hanks for Lori. This is SO cuddly!

I have GOT to learn how to make squares like this one from Ambala. The detail in the pattern doesn't show up so well in this photo but the back is as perfect as the front. How do you do that?

Many thanks to spinsandknits for letting us know this was on the way. I have a square going at work in the same yarn! Thanks Rebecca!

I know it's been hard for some of you to get these out. I will post an updated progress picture later tonight or early tomorrow. It's really coming along. Thanks everyone!

Lucky Number Seven, continued!

I actually received this one on Saturday 5/24 from Nic2always. Thanks Nicole! I know it was tough for you to get this to me.

Don't you love these colors? KerBear, I am going to assume this is you because I didn't find anyone else in Fresno. Great square. I love it!

I really like this stitch pattern that bnewns sent. It stretches just enough put not too much if you know what I mean!

Moving right along

Here are the first 3 panels, sewn together top to bottom but not yet side to side.

And I have the 4th panel lined up here. I've since sewn the top 5 together. I switched the 3rd and 6th one from the top because they fit better with the weights, etc. You are seeing all the squares I have received with exception to 2. I need more squares so keep 'em coming!

Many thanks to IceCreamCake

Becca is making us a square for a member who cannot finish hers. Thanks so much!

No Squares :(

Two days in a row now with no squares in my mailbox. Ziarah has been kind enough to send out reminder notes (via PM) to the 20 members that still have squares coming. I'm not too concerned and won't be until we see if she gets any response from them.
In the meantime, I just finished joining the 3rd and have enough to do the 4th if the yarns and sizes work well together.

Third Panel

I have the squares lined up with the envelopes next to them (on top of the 1st and 2nd panels). This way I can easily move them around without losing track on who sent what and make sure Lori gets all the cards, etc., for each one. So far, it's working out fine.

One down, six to go

The first row is all woven together and part of the second row, as you can see. Sorry to you guys up on the top. I 'll take some more pics soon so you can all see where your square is. It's sort of hard on this one but I was anxious to get some pictures posted.

Don't worry! I know EXACTLY where everything is!

And still 20 more coming!

One for Good Luck

I got this today from readingknitter01 who sent an extra "just in case". They're both great Sarah and I appreciate it! Don't worry about the extra because if I don't use it for Lori's Afghan, I promise you I use it for a charity project. ;)

What a great way to start a week!

I actually received these yesterday (Monday) but didn't get them posted until today~

Loveyoumoon sent this amazing square. One day I hope to be able to finish work like this. It's really beautiful. Em joined Ravelry in Feb 07 with only 7 months of knitting under her belt. I'd say you're a natural Em!

This is actually a bit darker than the real thing but I wanted to show everyone the great design that SpeedyString did! You did a wonderful job on this Sarah~

This came from xgvjx in Norway. Solvi is also new to knitting - just under a year now. Isn't this pretty? (I see you're a guitar player Solvi. Me too only acoustic and not so good but getting better!)

I think Ilovewool may be the baby of our group. Maria is only 16 years old and has SO many WIP'S. I can't remember when I had that much energy. Oh yeah, when I was 16! Thanks Maria!

I began assembling last night. I will post some pics soon~

Have a great night everyone!

Three Beauties

What a jammed mailbox I had today! This is from KrisWW and came all the way from the UK. There were two bands in with this. I think this is the right one. Let me know if not Kris. They are both for UK yarns and I should be able to tell but I am not very good at identifying yarn. I really like this color. The changes in it are so subtle.

A big hats off to TigerPooh2380 who has only been knitting for a year and sent this great variegated square. Lovely bright colors. Nice job on this Sarah. Thank you for participating in this project.

And wow, more wonderful colors and hand-spun from WillWorkForYarn! It's superwash wool and the color is "Fields of Summer". I want to take on dying in the near future and see spinning maybe in the very, very distant future. This is fabulous Linda~

Lovely White...........

Received today from kittychan. And Adrienne, I am knitting 2ish years myself and still haven't taken the initiative for the cables. Very nice square. Thanks...............

Time Flies!

I received these first two on Friday and the last today. I've probably mentioned that you will rarely see me post over the weekend. I'm not normally at my computer.

Super-soft green from whistle1knit1~
(hugs to you Holli)

a lovely blue from brookmarie19~
(and it's great Brooke!)

and a nice cable pattern from gumbie315~
(you guys are making me look bad! - Gotta get those cable needles out. Now, where did I put them?)

We are at 20 received. Keep 'em coming! Just 8 more days until the May 20 soft deadline!
;)

Hey SunshineMom......................

.................this makes me want to learn cables! (I've been putting it off for far too long) Thanks Jennifer. It's very pretty~
Do you see how the last few days, the 3 squares seem to blend perfectly in to one another!? I'll have to keep these 3 together!
